Even though American Idol is over, my idol blog is still averaging 1,000 visitors a day. Since people are still visiting I want to mention the new forum I opened. We have a section for American Idol, Big Brother 7, So You Think You Can Dance?, Hell's Kitchen, Last Comic Standing, America's Got Talent and Treasure Hunters as well as many other fun user requested forums. Currently there are 11 members, 45 topics and 201 posts. So stop by and talk about any of these shows or even request your own show and I will start a thread for it.

As was expected, Idol Season 5 runner-up Katharine McPhee landed a contract with Simon Fuller's 19 Recordings Limited and RCA, in conjunction with legendary music industry executive Clive Davis, chairman of BMG U.S. and RCA Records.

Katharine's First Single will be released June 27. Double-A Sided 'Over the Rainbow'/'My Destiny'.

Well this is no shock to me. Everyone knew someone would sign Kat and Simon was smart to snatch her up. I would assume since she was the runner-up, Simon has first dibs on signing Kat to a contract. So who will be first in line when the single comes out? Leave a comment with your thoughts.

As some of you may have noticed, the forums no longer function. It seems someone hacked the files somehow. I tried to install a backup from yesterday but it didn't work. I am sort of pissed off about it since we lost all the threads we had started but have no fear, I plan to have the forums back online sometime tomorrow night. Tonight I am going to research some different forum scripts and see if I can find something other than the previous forum I had. I hated it from day one but I was too lazy to change it after I installed it.

Update - After tons of problems, the new forum is online. Of course there aren't a lot of topics since I lost the original database but thats where you guys come in. Click Here to stop by, signup and start posting away.
